Hi Team,

when publishing the metrics to DBs like Influxdb nodes's host names are used to store the data. Is it possible to specify the custom Ids when starting the metric collection tasks?

@pkudaiyar, sorry for long response time.

You can add your own tags for any task like this: https://github.com/intelsdi-x/snap-plugin-publisher-elasticsearch/blob/master/examples/tasks/logs-regexp-elasticsearch.json#L21. Tags you specify will appear in InfluxDB as metric tags.
