10 years ago Yeah. It's on the roadmap. In the same way that Google Hangouts on Air has live streaming and storage to Youtube. We will need storage somewhere as well.
The reasoning for this is that recording conversations is an essential requirement for open companies, as it is an essential step to transparency, openness, and involvement
@crito added a fantastic idea of eventually offering a timeline, where everything that happens in an online communities is logged, and able to be browsed later
Can we tag video, make it searchable?
One thing github issues has over video is that they are reference material, and searchable (IRC, not so much).
While you cannot index video (yet), you can tag it with metadata. I'd like something that tags along existing systems, eg issues, and complements it with video.
Still, not sure how many people would watch past videos. Text is so much easier to scan.
Food for thought. Not the best issue ever, as it's more for discussion than for immediate implementation :)
