Error when trying to stake additional KINT #1513

I tried to stake additional KINT (I already have a small amount staked) for a 16-week lock but after signing the transaction, I got a pop-up error message with the following message:

Message: -32601: RPC call is unsafe to be called externally

Note: There is no record of any extrinsic being issued on-chain, so I assume this is a UI issue (or an issue with the RPC endpoint along with the UI?)

Related note: The total is listed as "96 weeks" but the maximum amount of time to stake for is 16 weeks. Not sure if "total" means something else here, but if so, it's rather confusing being right above the input box where on enters for how long they want to stake.

Further notes: I tried different lock amounts and times, but always get this error message.

I receive the same error message when trying on Interlay Polkadot chain as well ( https://app.interlay.io/staking )

Hi @laboon thanks for this—there was an issue submitting transactions following a UI release which we've rolled back. We know what the issue is, and are working on a fix now so I'm going to close this as a duplicate.
