I checked a half dozen of these and their all very low quality records (mostly with higher quality equivalents). Would we be better or worse off if we just deleted them all?
I think that might be the best thing. I've spot checked a few of them and the records are from libraries. But the MARC records have LC call numbers and no other useful info. The records seem to represent works in general rather than specific editions.
All these single letter authors seem to have come from the old Miami University of Ohio catalogue image of 2008, via an uncritical ImportBot. The corresponding entries in the same catalogue today are much better. Reimporting them could sort out the vast majority.
@mekarpeles says reimporting may work, but cannot confirm just now.
@mekarpeles Is there a way for a user to trigger reimport for a single record as a test?
R is an invalid author. Works should be reassigned to the correct author(s). https://openlibrary.org/authors/OL2895600A/R
