This author is invalid. Works should be assigned to the correct authors where possible. https://openlibrary.org/authors/OL2927742A/M

I did a bit of this today. I worked sequentially down the list.

The next work to take a look at is GRACE NOTES OF POETRY.

These have no data except a title (& author), and I couldn't find a particular record that it should clearly be merged into.

Almost all of the records associated with M need to be merged or deleted, so this issue might best be tackled by an admin. I'm going to work through the ones without the all-caps titles and leave the rest. :^]

Thank you, @Altercari !

METEORITES TREE BOOK LITTLE ISLAND I was able to identify these by searching by call number. So I've made the updates. (Some editions have MARC records with this information. You can check for this by scrolling down to the history. If the original import looks something like Imported from Miami University of Ohio MARC record, you can click MARC record to view it. This will sometimes have the call number. See line 945. https://openlibrary.org/show-records/marc_miami_univ_ohio/allbibs0067.out:5437889:338

Is there a way to refresh the author works list? Someone changed the author on one of the records back in Feb, but it's still showing up on M's author page. I can try to force a reindex. Which work is it?

Are maps by Michelin appropriate for Open Library? Good question. A lot of maps come in a book or booklet format; I'm not sure we'll always be able to tell from the record, so go ahead and leave them if you come across them. I'm not sure I want to add maps as a category of book, only because that opens it up to diner placemats and tourist brochures which I most definitely do not want to include.

There is at least one author writing under the pseudonym 'M'. I've added a short bio for him. Didn't check for duplicates first, though I probably should have.

I've merged three M profiles. Thank you.

@Altercari There is not a great way to handle whole-part relationships at this time. See https://openlibrary.org/works/OL27448W/The_Lord_of_the_Rings?edition=lordofrings0000tolk_d5h0#work-details for my approach. Essentially, an omnibus edition or boxed set should be treated as a work according to contents (if you have the details); boxed set=bind-up=omnibus. Individual volumes are independent works.

It looks like there are two "valid" authors called M. There's M. and "M".
