relates to #8139
I think there are only a handful of these (<20 ?). This search includes many of them: https://openlibrary.org/search?q=language%3Afao+publish_place%3Atehran&mode=everything
I may have missed one or two, but I think I've sorted them out.
Thank you @bilch, this looks good to me now too. Closing as completed.
Problem
Various books previously had the language code
far
, which is a LOC MARC deprecated code for Faroese https://openlibrary.org/languages/farI have remapped these to the new Faroese code
fao
Some of these books were in Farsi rather than Faroese. I think they would have been incorrectly categorized previously.
I thought maybe
far
was a correct code in some systems, butfas
is the ISO 639-3 code.per
is the LOC MARC (and ISO 639-2) code. I thinkfar
for Farsi is a non-systematic but understandable typo/error so there shouldn't be too many to fix 🤞🏽Putting this here so I can sort it out later. (ideally while listening to Eivør Pálsdóttir, and Otagh Band, from my standard playlist...)
