Hi Dave,
Thank you very much for this feedback!
Yes, we have been thinking about adding a "settings" UI. Sounds like that is something we should do sooner, rather than later.
Please do continue to share any/all suggestions, requests, bug reports etc.
We are committed to making the Wayback Machine service, and this add-on, as useful as possible and know we can only do that by listening to, and learning from, those who are using them.
Onward,
Here is a mockup of the settings page that I need (so far):
Thank you for this.

Mark, I see that you are using email to interact with this Github Issues page. Please tell me, did the edit that I just performed come through clearly? ...I've always wondered about that.
Yes, it came through just fine.
Thank you,

Like all extensions, this one sometimes behaves poorly.
Earlier today, I fought with this one because I entered a URL with a typo in the address bar, and then immediately tried to fix it, but kept getting forwarded to the archive.org page...
Each time I put my cursor back in the address bar to edit the URL, the page got forwarded so I wasn't able to edit the URL. I tried doing it faster, but that didn't work. That's what I mean when I say I "fought with it".
I want a toggle that I can invoke to disable wayback-machine-firefox on demand, please!
