Currently RFC is a draft. Let's wait for the result of IETF-discussions.

GT (6-4-2021):

For testing, [...] we can query for NSEC3PARAM on the zone apex and check the value(s). However, we need to wait for the final version and see how strict it would be to see if it makes sense to test or not.
