Same problem here. I've a wii with a d2ckey chip installed. Can't use USB 2.0
either
since I have to intall dvdx with the patchmii option. Hoping the next update
resolves the issue of stuff not playing from dvd and USB 2.0 usability for
modchip
users like me. Many thanks.

luckyspaul: did you use a dvd-r? also try a data dvd dvd-r.

I don't have a drivechip, used the Twilight Hack, and I can't get data DVDs to
work.
I have DVDX installed and working, can watch video DVDs just fine. Tested with
4.0
and 3.0, neither work. Oh, and I have menu v. 3.4, if it makes a difference.
Too bad since this is the only program that even tries to support data DVDs.

jubuttib09: should work, do you have dvdx at ios202? should work straight away.

jubuttib09: be sure that you have dvdx installed using advanced 202 ios to get
usb2 +
dvd working fine.
We have test in other wii with your configurations and seems works fine.

I apologise. Just now I tested and it works. The problem? I was using a DVD+R
dics.
Any idea when support for those is coming, I have around 160 DVD+Rs and
something
like 6 DVD-Rs...
Original comment by jubutti...@gmail.com

+R's are supported and are +RW, depends on your drive.
Original comment by djdynamite123

Weird then, DVD-R worked on the first try, DVD+Rs don't work at all.
Depends on what drive? In the Wii? They upgraded the drive at some point?
Also since I have 3.4 I can only use normal installation for the DVDX, so
advanced
installation trickery is unfortunately a no-go.

ah thats bad then, no dvdx to ios202, anyway, yes +R's work, you need to bitset
them
though, that's why they probably don't work.

Too bad, should have known about that before I burned them (which is up to 5
years
ago). Tested around 20 DVD+Rs, none worked, and 5 DVD-Rs (all I could find),
all
worked. Is it possible to take care of this "problem" with an upgrade to the
player,
or is it hardware related?
Well, I'll be sure to use bitsetting on all my new discs.
Thanks for the help anyway.

Have same problem, when installed 0.4 version it stopped to display contents of
dvd-r
with movies.
Other players see those without problems.

I'm having another problem. DVD not working before installing DVDx on ios202.
After
the installation, DVD works but MPlayer CE failed to browse USB. Any idea? Also
that
playing retail reg. 2 DVD I can see some blocking defects on edges. Is this due
to
the slow reading or some bugs? (CIOS36 installed)

-MPlayer-CE v0.5 now works with "USB2.0_beta3" ONLY!
-Before installing "USB2.0_beta3" you must remove "USB2.0_beta2"!

from DVD.

Comment #26 is using "USB2.0_beta3". Could you tell me what's the correct way of
removing old version of USB2.0 ciso? To make sure, I delete it and re-installed
again. I almost bricked my wii by deleting IOS202 with anytitle remover.
