Some MP3 files skip (every 5-10 seconds) while others do not. #616

1.Store several MP3s on an SDHC card
2.Download and install MplayerCE on SDHC card
3.Open up Homebrew Channel and load MPlayerCE

MPlayerCE Version: 0.76
Wii System Menu: 4.1(NTSC/US)
Homebrew Channel? Yes, v.1.0.6
DvdX installed? Yes
Storage: SDHC
File System: FAT32 and NTFS have both been tried
Size: 8.0GB (and yes, I have formatted the card)

Here's the issue, when some of the MP3s are played back, the audio
is smooth and I can enjoy listening to it. Other MP3s seem
to start out okay, but anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds in, the
audio will skip ahead 2-3 seconds, and then it continues
to do this skipping until done playing the file. I have another
SD card that's 2GB and I never noticed the skipping issues while
using that card. Is this an SDHC issue that will be extremely
difficult to fix much less pinpoint? Or are there other, temporary
solutions for this?

I have no enough info
Are you telling that the same mp3 file works fine on other sd card?
can you try using a usb device?
sd access is fast enough to play any mp3 file it's a strange behaviour.
mybe is a bug in libfat
can you try to defrag your sd?
we need more tests, maybe your sd is problematic

Maybe it is my SD card, but perhaps I'll try the latest beta version. I put new,
re-encoded MP3s on the card, so maybe it won't be an issue. I'll let you know
ASAP.

You said you would let us know "ASAP". You haven't yet.

Didn't have much a chance to listen (since it was a beta release). I believe the
issue is gone, but I'll have to do more testing. Could it be an issue with SDHC
in
general?
