You should avoid packing multiple requests into a single issue.

What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
Play a folder form a usb hd like a dvd (Like vlc does)

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
Better support for dvd files

This is possible since r621.
However, it hasn't been exposed in the interface.

You can add an entry to the menu with an action such as:
loadfile 'dvdnav:///ntfs:/path/to/VIDEO_TS'
