Yuri - How did you install the custom plugin? I can't find any documentation. I tried installing with composer, but something seems off as the gateway doesn't show in the list when I go to add payment type.

It is installed as separate plugin. Put the repo contents into plugins/freecheckoout and go to Admin -> Settings -> Plugins to install it
