No visible mouse pointer with OS X Remote host

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect to a Mac OS X Desktop Host running leopard with screen sharing 
turned on and 
vnc enabled
2. When connected (only 24 bit color works) no mouse pointer is visible
3. AndroidVNC is moving the pointer if you watch the host system display 
however no local 
pointer is emulated or generated

You should see an emulated pointer.  What you see is no pointer.  

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using build 090131 on Mac OS X Leopard 10.5

Please provide any additional information below.
You should be able to use any Leopard mac notebook or desktop to reproduce
