what is the meaning of "likelihood computation"? #127

what is the meaning of "likelihood computation" in http://introlab.github.io/find-object/#code-example , ?? is it kind of probability?? would you please give us an example? I cannot understand what is the meaning of numbers on X and Y axsies?

The likelihood curve: y= number of matches, x = image ID.
