What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. With 2 connected computers, move mouse to client screen and wait
2. Let both computers go idle, so that both screens lock and go black
3. Move mouse (still on client screen only) to wake up computer(s)
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
+ Expected: (Un)Lock screen (showing password prompt dialog only) is shown on
both. (Or at the least, unlock on client and unchanged black idle screen on
host.)
+ Observed: Unlock screen will display on client, but host screen will display
active desktop & windows - as if the password dialog was bypassed
automatically.
As soon as you try to move the mouse back to the host screen to interact with anything, it *will* hide everything and switch to the unlock screen, prompting you for your password. However, the point remains that someone could passively see/read everything you currently have up on your host machine without needing to enter your password.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
- quicksynergy 0.9.0 (both)
Host:
- Ubuntu 12.04 (GNOME Classic)
- (x86_64)
Client:
- Ubuntu 12.04 (Unity)
- (ARM - PandaBoard)
Please provide any additional information below.
This doesn't seem to happen the other way (when you wake on Host, only Host shows lock screen, Client remains idle/black).
