Wouldn't this be reflected by a loan period of 0
or not for loan
in legacy?
There should indeed be a status "Not for loan", at CERN we call it in our current system: "Reference".
Note that there might be a difference between "Reference" and "Not for loan". E.g. we have books that are actually locked away, ie. really really not for loan. While References are not for loan, but with opening hours of 24/7 and self service, as soon as you shelve the stuff people might put it on the self service machines. In our case this triggers an "overnight checkout".
So I think it is more a loan period than a "status" like binding
, catalouging
etc.
Indeed, considering that as a loan period is indeed fine for me. Anne
For some books it is possible to view it only at the library: it is not possible to get it at home. Does it need a new
Item
status?
