I just scanned 150+ books. Once finished, I got a nice list of all the books I scanned (to be true, for about a third of the books, the barcode couldn’t scan and I had to enter the ISBNs manually).
However, in the list there were a few unknown books that I don’t own. It means that the barcodes where not read properly and instead were mistaken for other books. I have no easy way to know which of my books were not scanned properly and not added!
A way to avoid this situation could be to display the title (and maybe a small thumbnail of the cover) when to book is scanned. If I see a book appearing which is not the one I am holding, I would be able to cancel it and rescan.
On larger screen, I could also imagine having the list of books itself appearing on the side, like when borrowing book at the library. Therefore you could keep track of what you have scanned already or not.
