any update on this?
@huseyinkogo I am currently waiting for the final 0.6.0 release so that I can pack that into the package. It then will be submitted to Synology for review and release in their store. They are supposed to do some checks so I am not sure how long that will take.
In general, this is a spare-time project so turnaround times might be slower than for paid software.
I'd love to see this, I believe it would supercharge adoption as well.
I do not have a timeline for this - keep running into blocks on multiple sides. Also, I do think adoption via too simplified install paths will raise the support quite a bit. Docker for example seems to cater to ppl. that do not read the documentation. We saw that with the last release and I am not sure if that is really something to strive for. PLMs require a certain level of understanding of informatics for setup - regardless of how simple the install is.
Was requested again: https://github.com/inventree/InvenTree/discussions/3955 And there are new resources from syno: https://help.synology.com/developer-guide/examples/compile_docker_package.html
To reiterate: there are no timelines for this and this won't be on the official store
This is only applicable for hacktoberfest for users that kind of know how Synology packages works - or how want to learn that. Would be much appreciated, I would recommend using a docker deployment rather bare metal for the package.
Problem One click synology deploy would be nice - right?
Suggested solution Seems to straight forward on DSM 7.0:

Describe alternatives you've considered You could do it manually but the ecosystem would support install scripts etc.
Examples of other systems Odor can be installed this way.
Do you want to develop this? I do not have access to a synology I can f up so no rnðŸ˜
