[BUG] - MD-11 ER engine number two bulge #1098

Closed SunKing135 closed 6 months ago

Describe the bug

Bulge used in current design was not used for the ER / PIP

Expected behaviour

I noticed that the engine number two bulge is the wrong one. Your depicted is the early version which was straight down, from PH-KCE onwards the shape was changed to match the PIP programme and this meant it followed the forward most banjo frame. I went on to research all built ER models, they all had the modified bulge version. N278WA and N277WA didn't have the modified outer flap fairing, but they and PK-GIK/L/M had the modified number two bulge. As it is quite clearly visible I would like to ask if this is to be added to the 11 prior release or post release via update. Secondly, I was curious if the smaller, initial engine spike will be included? This was for example used with the prototype N11MD and the first row of built frames eg Swissair. Later on these were modified and one could see a mix of small and large spike on one frame. Your response is highly anticipated and appreciated.

PPS. I can imagine that this is quite inconvenient that near to release and will include potential extra hours of work, both for which I want to apologise. But, since this is quite noticeable and I know your products for being very authentic and close to reality it would be worth it to look into the matter. Sources I decided to attach some images to the ER tail design:

As it's a definitive and standard feature of the ER the modified bulge should be considered for a future update, as otherwise the announced ER model is not an ER, but more an upgraded standard MD-11. Please consider a thorough research on this matter, prior to finalising it not coming. 😀
