edit : as for integral lights, I tried downscaling some of the textures into 1024x and the results are....not good. (too blurry) so, should be 2k instead. (like in given screenshot) also floods, tried 512x but blurry so should be 1k
well, yeah. performance always go opposite from quality
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Simply, too high VRAM consumption that can lead to dxgi_error_device_hung/reset related sim-crashes. or even instant-crash in v5
Describe the solution you'd like
As I've used other aircraft that utilizes RealLight and still "does not ate all vram available at given moment", for example QualityWing's 787. I've inspected its filesystem and found out that, almost every single RL-related texture isn't bigger than 1024x.(1024x is for integral lights, and those not-so-detailed floodlight, that would be even smaller.) So I would like the RL texture of the MD11 got downscaled from all 4k into 1024x for integral lights, and 256x-512x for not-so-detailed flood. also, please optimize pdk rendering. (disabling both RL and force legacy gains a whopping 3gigs of vram for me.)
Describe alternatives you've considered
XML-Based gauge to inject texture for night lighting......well it's so fs2000 (and it does not support PBR texturing to make things even worse)
Additional context
the sole problem is just VRAM, I am not getting any fps-related issue.
System in use for reference. AMD Ryzen 5 3600 w/ AMD Radeon RX 5600XT (6 GB) 32GB DDR4 3200 Prepar3Dv5.4
