Hello,
We already discussed internally about this topic.
At the moment, we are not really making "patch releases" like you expect (11.1.X). Perhaps in the future.
However, you can look at:
/usr/local/pf/conf/git_commit_id
to know on which commit your PacketFence package has been build
Describe the bug If a user has followed the instructions within the manual to get the latest patch release.
Running the command pfcmd version results in
PacketFence 11.1.0
Based on this there is then no way to easy tell what "Patch" version the user is currently running. (It might be nice to also see the release information in the GUI)
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior Running pfcmd version I would expect to see an update to 11.1.0 as that was the unpatched version
I would expect it be a build number or the build date 11.1.20211220 or 11.1.5
