Issue

🔥 This issue is happening to me on Android. I always get this error when syncing the gradle files, it happens upoin adding the firebase messaging dependency, and upon removing it, the error goes away: The library com.google.firebase:firebase-iid is being requested by various other libraries at [[17.0.4,17.0.4]], but resolves to 17.0.2. Disable the plugin and check your dependencies tree using ./gradlew :app:dependencies..

According to the react-native-firebase docs, I was also using com.google.firebase:firebase-messaging:17.5.0

But when I changed to com.google.firebase:firebase-messaging:17.3.3, the sync succeeded.

Try altering react-native-firebase version too. I had same issue with following combination.
