Check that similar software have already done this. SimNIBS, etc...

What was the reason for removing? Too big file? Could we have a set of separate instructions for the user to download from somewhere else or host the .inv3 project file in a separate repo? @rmatsuda

Yes, the file is big to have it in the sample folder. The MNI project can be download at https://raw.github.com/wiki/invesalius/invesalius3/medical_images/average_MRI_brain_01.inv3
