Snap Installation won't start: X Window Error `BadAlloc`

Hey, I just wanted to give Invoice Ninja a try on Pop!OS 22.04 using the Snap installation 5.0.93. If I try to open it via console or desktop, it shortly opens an empty window and then crashes. Here's the log:

5.0.39 is a pretty old version, the latest version is 5.0.93. It's possible using the latest version will help.

That was actually just a typo, sorry. I'm using the latest snap version 5.0.93 indeed.

I assume you're using Wayland, are you able to test running the app using X11?

Hi @hillelcoren , actually I'm using X11, which is the default in my PopOS installation:

$ loginctl show-session 2 -p Type

It's also explicitly disabled in /etc/gdm3/custom.conf: WaylandEnable=false

Funny enough, I setup a VM to test it with Wayland... but the first try there with default x11 actually succeeded :thinking: All the fontconfig errors are the same, but the rest just works and the app starts without problems. So I guess its some config error on my end that I just can't figure out :confounded:
