Paulmann Remote 500.67 wird mit ? angelegt #1422

Die ZigBee Fernbedienung 500.67 von Paulmann wird beim Pairing nur als ? in der Übersicht angezeigt, und es werden keine typischen Datenpunkte für eine Fernbedienung angelegt.

Ich habe mir die FB gekauft, weil ich gelesen hatte dass diese mit dem IoBroker Adapter funktioniert, und diese ja auch auf ZigBee2MQTT gelistet ist. https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/devices/500.67.html

Ich verwende den Adapter 1.6.16 lt Anzeige, ich habe aber aus issue #1405 einmal eine Git-version geladen.... Iobroker ist am letzten Stand Zigbee Gateway: CC2531 Zigbee USB Gateway runing on a RasPi 3B+ IoBroker Slave

Hello, thank you for feedback!!

-) I removed the remote by using the basket case sign in the remote controle field grafik -) then I updated the zigbee.0 grafik to 1.6.18 by using the githublink grafik which finally seems to work

-) but when I paired the remote i got again the same result.... grafik

Could it be that I made something wrong at updating or pairing? br E.

Did you ensure that the object for the remote under zigbee.0 in the object tree was gone ?

Hello,

finally I found time to test it few times aigain. I completly delete the remote (all objects disapeared from the object tree) and I paired, but result was every time the same --> the the remote only appears like in above post. grafik in the object tree it looks like that.. grafik

is it important to restart the zigbee process after deleting the remote?

Please flip the device tile over and click the blue (i) icon. Post the extended device info here. It seems that the device does not report itself in the way the zigbee-herdsman-converters expect it.

Please also ensure by viewing the log entries from adapter startup that the running adapter is the one listed on the tile. We have had several cases where the zigbee Adapter on a slave was not updated correctly.

Please locate the file paulmann.js. It should be in /opt/iobroker/node-modules/zigbee-herdsman-converters/lib/devices In that, locate the entry 

        zigbeeModel: ['RemoteControl '],

and change it to 

        zigbeeModel: ['RemoteControl ','RemoteControl'],

then restart the adapter.

I found a paulmann.js under following link..../opt/iobroker/node_modules/zigbee-herdsman-converters/devices

is that the file you mean?

the lib directory leads to other files....

Hello, I changed the file according your input

but the device information ist still like that... grafik

and also the object tree does not have new lines...

could I do somethnig wrong here?

is there some idea which I can try... ore do you have a link form me where I can read to learn what is meant with the "not described in states mapping" ? I would really need some remote to control my lamps..

The message "not described in states mapping" relates to the fact that the device is not explicitly defined in the /lib/devices.js file in the iobroker.zigbee adapter. This should not be an issue as the device, if recognized correctly, should get its states from the exposes given by the zigbee-herdsman-converters.

Is it possible to edit that file? or do you mean that paulmann.js which I have already edited according former post?

It is possible to edit that file but it will not necessarily help. I am not certain why the remote is not being recognized properly within the zigbee-hersman-converters, but from what i see, there is something not being put together properly, either that the zigbee adapter does not receive any exposes or that the zigbee-herdsman-converters do not properly recognize the device itself.

i cannot say which of those is at fault.

You can run the adapter in debug mode to see what messages are generated on pairing

No - this should not have any effect.

I tried to run it in debug mode and of course there appear really a lot of logs, most of the time always the same. Do you know where in which iobroker folder I can find this log to post it yor you?

You can download the log from the admin page. But posting the entire log is reasonably pointless. You need to identify the section where you pair the device and trim it down to the messages from the zigbee adapter. Overall, this should not be more than 20 to 30 lines.

I have the same Problem. @EtzeSte13 Were you able to solve the problem?

I have 2 identical remotes but with a different date on the back of them. One works the other does not.

@sandrosuter: Sorry for late reply... just found time to answer

I did not find a solution yet after a lot of durther testing and trying. I think I will try it aigain in spring, when its warmer outside... It is aimed to be used in the garden.

which one of your remotes works? Those with datecode 10/21 or 03/21?

My remote hase date code 06/21...

finally I managed it to get the remote linked to iobroker with via a new instanz of the zigbee adapter (v 1.8.10).

Only thing I changed was to buy a new SonOff USB Stick and flashing the latest firmwire on it.

Maybe it is of Topic, but even it is connected know in my point of view it is very complicate to handle in iobroker. The objects which are shown in the object tree and the arguments which are updated by sending are not self explaining when it is aimed to controle RGB stripes with it.

Is there a description available what the background and strategy is of all the values which are provided in the opject tree?

Especially "brithness move up" or "brighntess move up size" an all the similar objects are not clear for me how to use them. Can you maybe give me a hint here? br Etze
