This implements issue #42 I use html5 data-list for the existing ports

Ready to merge?

@cburghardt in the core team we use this convention to make sure we don't merge prematurely: Open PRs as Draft PRs and discuss in draft state. Once the PR has been determined to be ready to be merged, turn it into a "real" PR by clicking "ready to review". This means the maintainer can merge it at any time.

Maybe we should do the same here.
