When genes are copy/pasted first, the left gene panel is blank and user isn't prompted to enter data files to proceed. #1054

  1. Launch standalone gene.iobio.
  2. Now click on 'Gene lists' and enter a number of genes and hit 'Apply'.
  3. The first gene appears in the gene panel, but the left side panel is blank (why?).
    NOTE: The user isn't prompted to load the data, leaving the user confused.
