Unable to load gene.iobio.io tool #1055

I can see this was a previous issue that was closed but I am having a problem loading gene.iobio.io for many weeks now and it just won't work. It worked in the past and I haven't changed the method for upload and my internet connection is fast.

The problem is this:

When selected from my computer the vcf.gz and vcf.gz.tbi it looks like it's loading but the bottom where you click 'load' is greyed out and not able to load the files. I wait and wait and it never loads. No error comes up.

Anyone else having this issue? I would like to be able to sort it out but I have tried everything I can think of...

Any advise would be great. thanks!

@LimGal I am able to recreate this problem, so we can look into this problem. This problem only occurs for local files (which is typically not the method most people use gene.iobio). While we look into resolving this issue, if you're able to put your files in an http accessible location and provide a url to the files, things should work immediately.

@AlistairNWard thank you so much for your helpful reply, and also thank you for looking into this. It worked previously (many months ago) although it was always a little temperamental. I will of course try the http accessible location to bypass this issue for now. Sorry for having to ask this but how would I go about creative a url for my files please?

@LimGal Actually no need. It looks like the team was able to fix this quickly. I just tested myself and is seems to be working again. Give it another try and hopefully you don't need to worry about dealing with urls!

I am also having the problem with gene.iobio not loading local files and also not recognizing when I try to load from a URL. I've tried chrome/Firefox/Edge and cleared cache and cookies.
