I have recently become aware of significant amounts of georeferenced fishery data on 18 species of such fishes made publicly available by the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission at https://www.iattc.org/en-us/Data/Public-domain
I think it would be really useful to add this data to the mapped distributions of those pelagic fishes.
A quick check on one of the species in OBIS indicates that those data are not currently being used by OBIS.
Sylvain Caillot, who is included in this email, manages that data for the IATTC.
