Current procedure to register a new term is to send an email to enquiries@bodc.ac.uk with request to add new term (under SeaDataCloud, BODC will work in making vocab search and submission of new terms easier). As most OBIS node managers are not yet familiar with BODC vocabulary, there is need for a central point where OBIS managers can submit a request for a new parameter id's. The central point would first check existing terms and if no appropriate term already exist help formulate a parameter label according to the BODC P01 vocabulary standard and pass this request to enquiries@bodc.ac.uk.
As OBIS nodes become more familiar with the vocabulary they could contact enquiries@bodc.ac.uk directly.
