@silasprincipe maybe you can try to check with GBIF Norway if they can add this dataset to OBIS Network? You can do this by opening an issue on GBIF Norway helpdesk here: https://github.com/gbif-norway/helpdesk
@ymgan thanks for the tip! I will try to contact them.
Since the periodic check is paused, I just wanted to let you know that GBIF Norway has added this dataset to OBIS Network. Cheers!
Thanks for the info @ymgan!
@rubenpp7 Can we add this dataset? WoRMS identifiers have been added.
I'm looking at the datasets that have the label 'node: EurOBIS' to start the harvest. I made a QC check and here are the results (I put it here, so it's documented, and I can keep track of what have already been done). Missing scientificNameID and some that does not resolve with Worms backbone. There are broken one to one relationship between scientificName and scientificNameID.
This dataset hosted on GBIF seems valuable for inclusion on OBIS. I would like to ask for its incorporation as part of the MPA Europe project.

Environmental Monitoring database (MOD) DNV
Description
DNV is a risk and classification company with roots dating back to the founding of Det Norske Veritas (DNV) in 1864. DNV operates in the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors.
The data produced by DNV is stored in their own Environmental Monitoring database (MOD). It comprises approximately 2.8 million species occurrence records, as well as chemical and geology records. This information comes from grab sampling conducted in areas around oil drilling stations. GBIF Norway is working with DNV to publish the species abundance data in the MOD database.
The grab sampling process is done on a yearly basis around the months of May and June, but not all stations are sampled each year. In general sampling is done around each station every third year, and in some areas samples have been repeated since the 1990s.
Methodology
Study extent Barents sea, Ekofisk area, Finnmark, Møre area, Nordland, Oseberg, Sleipner, Statfjord, Trondelag, UK Shelf
Sampling Biology samples are taken with a van Veen grab and from a surface area of 0.5 m^2
There are several sample stations around each installation. The distance and direction from the main installation is stored in locationRemarks. The exact latitude and longitude for each sample station is provided. Approximately five grabs are made at each station, each a few meters apart. The grab numbers are provided in the eventRemarks.
Method steps The identification of species in each sample is in general done at DNV's Biology lab but samples are also sometimes outsourced to external taxonomists.
