Maybe it's better to use Mollweide projection instead of globes (makes it hard to cover all areas).
This is (1) number of records, (2) distribution of HAB species + HAEDAT events and (3) threatened species:
@pieterprovoost please create Mollweide globes for:
Undiscovered species based on number of species and completeness (because apparently chao2 is often lower than the observed number of species).
Good news by the way, on the mid-ocean ridge between Brazil and Cape Verde we have discovered 70 species and have only 4 to go :wink:
Regarding potentially extinct, is this (1) number of globally potentially extinct species per grid cell, or (2) number of species potentially extinct from each cell? I assume 2?
Ik denk dat het bestaande product #1 is maar #2 is mss wel interessanter als de grid groot genoeg is.

Correctie, ik ga ervan uit dat we 1 nodig hebben. De aantallen die 2 gaat geven zullen een pak hoger zijn en nog veel meer afhankelijk van sampling effort.
Is 1 ook niet afhankelijk van sampling effort, plaatsen waar vroeger gekeken werd en nu niet meer?
ok, #1 dus. @samuelbosch ja vandaar dat we het "potential extinctions" noemen.
Soorten met minstens 10 records, niet meer gezien na 1970.
@pieterprovoost will look into plotting the globes.
