These might become ADRs at some point.

• For software the spatial coverage, this coverage can be a super-set of the spatial extents of the connected/related data (if any).
• We are aware of the domain and range issue in the example with supportingData but we want to accommodate some of the use-cases we see. DataCatalog and Dataset are ones we are looking to pushing into this property. If we do this it should become an ADR entry to explain the reasoning.
• Ask for an example GeoTIFF to explore how we can best describe this. First thought is simply as a dataset.

Take a look at https://codemeta.github.io/ / https://doi.org/10.5063/schema/codemeta-2.0 That is what we will use for software it merges kind of https://schema.org/SoftwareSourceCode and https://schema.org/SoftwareApplication Types and adds some additional terms to it. That would be something where one could also contribute. It is not yet integrated into github nor gitlab, but if one has a list of the git repos, one would have a universal way to access it (<repo_uri>-/blob/main/codemeta.json).
