IFDO schema.org for Haig Fras Digital Twin #191

Hi,

In NOC we are developing a digital twin for the Haig Fras MPA digital imagery. Full details here: https://www.authorea.com/users/570379/articles/616030-agu-ipostersessions?commit=7038ac8fc6577217a305c78c5c29a8b3fb647a14

This digital twin is registered as a project in the UN Decade DITTO action so we need to enable discovery via ODIS.

As part of this we have produced an example schema.org of a dataset underpinned by an IFDO metadata record (https://marine-imaging.com/fair/ifdos/iFDO-content/, this is the the preferred standard for FAIR marine imagery). We need it to be reviewed and validated please.

Policy / ADR note - this pattern would add and commit to SOSA and PROV semantics

I'm not opposed to this, but we should carefully weave this in to the generic schema.org approach, ensuring the former nests in the latter as far as possible. This will also require additional guidance .

A schema.org-only version of this pattern should also be considered.

Note the @id usage here.

This raises several issues - many mappings are dubious and iFDO fields unnecessary

@justinbuck - we're processing it and getting the Digital Twin crowd set up as a defined ODIS stakeholder. Sorry for the delay, but those formalities help us move along systematically. We'll get you feedback over the next week.
