PDH catalogue: sitemap/CKAN-DCAT config

As discussed in today's mini-meeting, there are 2 options to generate the necessary JSON-LD for the PDH/SPC catalogue layers:

Option 1. Install and configure the CKAN-DCAT extension (RECOMMENDED)

• https://github.com/ckan/ckanext-dcat
• the extension should magically generate the JSON-LD for each layer, such as:
  • https://pacificdata.org/data/dataset/2007_fji_phc_admin_boundaries.json (link should exist after setting up the extension)
• the extension should point to that JSON-LD endpoint in the layer page's source (magically)

Option 2. Run the CKAN harvest Python script locally

• it generates JSON-LD for 1,929 PDH layers

JSON-LD is now available on the PDH UAT environment for testing purposes.

It works for all datasets, but let's have a look at the following example: https://uatweb.spc.links.com.au/data/dataset/world-database-on-protected-areasf16663d5-08d2-41d3-8b53-56452ffc4ec3

You can get the JSON-LD by:

• selecting "schema.org" from the "Export metadata" drop down menu (right below all "Go to resource" buttons)
• adding ".jsonld" as an extension to the URL
• looking for the Githubissues.
• Githubissues is a development platform for aggregating issues.
