gulp4 with ionic v3 cli tasks won't run #2971

I installed this plugin: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@ionic/cli-plugin-gulp

I want to run my gulp4 tasks when I run the ionic cordova build command.

It's not working for me. Is it compatible with gulp4?

gulp.task("ionic:build:before", gulp.series("build"));

ionic info cli packages: (C:\Program Files\nodejs\node_modules)

cordova (Cordova CLI) : 8.0.0
Gulp CLI              : CLI version 3.9.1 Local version 3.5.6

Ionic Framework   : ionic1 1.3.5

Node : v6.11.0
npm  : 5.6.0
OS   : Windows 10

Environment Variables:

ANDROID_HOME : C:\Android\sdk

Kinda weird, but is gulp in devDependencies in package.json?

Yes, I have gulp and gulp4 in my devDependencies:

  "devDependencies": {
    "gulp": "3.5.6",
    "gulp4": "4.0.2",
}
