As I said in issue #318, the workarround doesn't fix that behaviour to me... It's really frustrating :( Hope you fix it. Congrats for the work anyway :)

I've closed this issue because my sensors indicated it was old and inactive, and may have already been fixed in recent versions of Ionic. However, if you are still experiencing this issue, please feel free to reopen this issue by creating a new one, and include any examples and other necessary information, so that we can look into it further.

This is what I have observed:
Using a Range-Slider on a view together with the S(l)ide-Menu is impossible, except in case the Side-Menu is operated with ion-pane ion-side-menu-content drag-content="false"
When the user drags a slider on a view containing a side-menu, the following scenarios are possible:
Maybe reopening bug #318 might be an option here?
