$ionicSideMenuDelegate opens on iOS 11.2.2 really slow #359

I've just updated my iOS to 11.2.2 and noticed the slow and long opening of the side menu in my application. I have identified this behavior on 3 different iPhones (6 and 6S).

Please see the attached video about the problem

By tapping on the menu again, it closes quite fast though...

my Ionic version: 1.3.3

Does anybody have any idea what that might be and how to get rid of the problem?

Any help is really appreciated here...

The problem seems to be iOS related as after the next update it is working as expected
