Documenting a conversation that happened via email about the seagrass list specifically.
I think there is potential for collaboration with experts from seagrass.net to create a more authoritative checklist. @jslefche you're the only one I know is on Github, so you get tagged :-). We can reach out to others via email. The bottom line is I think this is a useful resource and I would be interested in also publishing these checklists through https://www.checklistbank.org/ for two reasons:
Taxonomy Mapping: Once taxonomic checklists are integrated, they can be programmatically mapped, which could benefit folks adhering to specific taxonomic databases like ITIS.
Tool Enhancement: I believe this is an opportunity to improve Checklistbank. Currently its documentation is sparse, and I think this is an opportunity to demonstrate and document how to use it.
