HFRADAR gone missing from the geoportal? #61

Where did the HFRADAR data go?

If I search http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/geoportal/catalog/main/home.page for "hfradar", I get nothing. 10-14-2014 8-50-25 am

I can see the collection source data here: https://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/docucomp/collectionSource/list?recordSetId=6338758&componentId=&serviceType=&serviceStatus=&serviceUrl=&search=List+Collection+Sources

and the HFRNET thredds server is working: http://hfrnet.ucsd.edu/thredds/dodsC/HFRNet/USEGC/1km/hourly/RTV.html

Sometimes it takes a while to bring up these aggregations on THREDDS, however, Is there a time out on the process that runs nciso against these THREDDS endpoints?

This is another argument for using a WAF instead of having NGDC crawling thredds catalogs. @kwilcox , would you guys be interested/willing in crawling the HFRNET catalogs and adding to your WAF? @dpsnowden , that would be fine with you, right?

@rsignell-usgs I get HF radar metadata sources back if I search on "HF radar".

@robragsdale , okay, my bad. I should have searched for the CF standard name *surface_eastward_sea_water_velocity* : 10-14-2014 11-59-32 am
