Glider_DAC WAF Cleanout #67

Closed robragsdale closed 9 years ago

@amilan17 I have registered a new WAF for the Glider data sets. I think this would be a good time to do a cleanout of the old service catalogs that are replicated in the new WAF. I have changed the status of these older catalogs to "For Removal" in EMMA. Could you please perform a cleanout of the Glider WAF?

@robragsdale, There are currently no "approved" services and the cleanout will remove ALL records from the Glider_DAC WAF... https://ngdc.noaa.gov/docucomp/collectionSource/list?recordSetId=6338757&componentId=&serviceType=&serviceStatus=APPROVED&serviceUrl=&search=List+Collection+Sources

I just submitted the new WAF. Let's wait until next week after it has been approved and harvested by EMMA. I will follow up on this issue next week. Thanks.

@amilan17 The new Glider_DAC WAF service endpoint I registered showed up in the NGDC test WAF this morning, It is the only approved service now, so a cleanout may not be needed. Regarding the harvest of the WAf, I thought that EMMA harvested over the weekend, at least I have seen other WAFs update then. I wanted to confirm if that is correct or if it was something else that happened? Thanks for your help.

EMMA should harvest every night. The Glider_DAC files are now being harvested. @amilan17 is going to check the logs to see why the WAF took 2 days to be picked up.

@robragsdale - None of the IOOS WAFs were processed on the 7th. I do not know why, but they all appear to be working again starting on the 8th. It is probably a network issue.

Also, changed configuration to clean out the Glider_DAC nightly, because there are old records remaining in the WAF and there is ONLY a WAF being harvested now.
