there is a possibility that when you create the account in the travian is anchored to an ip, and then when you go to create another account with that ip do not leave, I say that to avoid multi accounts or you get a poster or something may be

iopietro commented 6 years ago

Yes and not, nowadays nobody has a static IP, so you can easily restart your router/use a proxy to change your IP.

And not forget the public Wifi (sometimes we have friends want play in our server)

Perhaps using mail activation is best way (oficial travian) , require normal user to create multiple mail accounts (is a pain in the ass for the user)

iopietro commented 6 years ago

Yeah, we can just limit the possibility of using temp email adresses.

fritz-net commented 6 years ago

Usage of invite codes could limit multi accounts on private servers

On public servers there is no way to prevent this. For example I have a wildcard mail address so there is no pain in writing a bot for making an activating accounts

Dayran commented 6 years ago

theme is that it is to play by lan with friends and do multi accounts to gain advantage as passing recueros since there is no limit or put a limit on resources that can be passed and you can not use email

iopietro commented 6 years ago

In the future, there will be a system for limiting resources sent (and maybe raided) through two accounts.

Thanks to you

why not use invite codes or lock registration (after some time) ... as workaround you could simply delete the file for registration

iopietro commented 6 years ago

If you want registrations can be disabled from the config.php file.
