I wanna be able to port MMPL-licensed Minecraft mods to Minetest.

No? You have to have the "original game", not the "game ported to"/"target game".

Currently, per discussion on IRC, we're planning to have this license apply only to Minecraft, with a clause that allows porting to other games with the author's permission.
