Was ioquake3 downloaded from here https://ioquake3.org/get-it/ in the past few months?
Yes. Just tried your link now and it still does not work. I did notice that all the pak files have GZDoom icons. Could that have something to do with why they aren't working? Again, ioquake3 is in my applications folder and all my baseq3 files are accounted for.
Also, it does not appear that ioquake3 is trying to use my directory. When it crashes, it creates a new application support folder (Called Quake 3) instead of just logging it in the Quake 3 folder in which I have the baseq3 files. Does that make sense?
So the Application Support folder should be named Quake3
(without spaces) and located in /Users/YOURNAME/Library/Application Support/
Yeah, I figured that out. Whoops.
Thanks.
I have been having an issue getting ioquake3 running on my m1 mac. Despite having the full game directory from my gog copy of the game, the program will not launch. ioquake3 is in my applications folder, and the baseq3 files are in the application support folder. Yet the game still crashes and won't launch, giving me the pak0.3 message like everyone else. Help?
