Description

When i went to do the Update for the Firefly wallet, as I am advised to on the Startup of My Wallet, it fails and gives a strange popup error message. With sone written Code in dark blue and white.

Expected behaviour

I believed it would do a 30-45 second update on the wallet with new or debugged features.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Every time since then when i open the app it prompts me to do an upgrade. If I ignore it I can open the wallet fine and do my buisiness.

My 1456 staked IOTA tokens in my Current Version Firefly wallet, for 45 days have not gotten any rewards nor do any pending rewards show. Can you please assist me with this?

You can try running the balance finder, you might have staked with an address different from your deposit, so your rewards might be sitting a bit deeper. Just run the balance finder from settings > advanced > balance finder, or run the rewards finder in the vesting tab, in the "..." menu next to your rewards totals, from the wallet you used to stake

I ran the balance finder and it shows me the same correct total for the staked tokens 1456.341108 IOTA and it doesn’t change when I run the process. I also ran the vesting finder, with login, and many times clicking the Search again Button i and it continually shows “ 0 IOTA”. What else can I change? Also the Collect button on the Vesting Page never shows “Collect” Button it is always grayed out. So are they not giving staking or Pool POS rewards? Is has been 45 days already.

Hi, the airdrop was not like that, the rewards were given to you in timelocked outputs which they are all owned by your address and they have a unix time to unlock every 2 weeks, which they do automatically

As soon as the outputs are unlocked the balance is free to use so it gets added to the balance before collecting, "collect" basically consolidates the outputs (combines multiple into one) and puts them into your deposit address, cleaning up spread balances between multiple addresses and helping the tangle by reducing the number of tiny unspent outputs out there.

The "collect" action is not really necessary, it will be blue when you can "cleanup" the porfolio, which helps cleaning up the ledger and your spread funds, if the button is greyed out it means that your porfolio is already clean

Hello Begona,

If it is supposed to be automatically airdrop added every two weeks? Well the original deposit amount was 1456.341108 that was over 6 weeks ago, and todays balance is 1456.341108, so no rewards in 6 weeks and if it is automatic, why no results? I was told, when choosing to come and stake here, that the returns would be approx. 5.41% APY. I have been trying to fix anything I might have overlooked in the staking and setup. But it shows my voting power is at 1456.341108 so, all my tokens are committed to the pool, and when working with 12 other wallets you would think it would be similar in processing rewards. So I deposited 1000.041603 tokens on June 1st, then an additional 456.299505 tokens on June 8th.

All my tokens show in the total tokens committed for voting. So should I try to backup the data and uninstall it and reinstall it, to get the rewards moving , or did they stop giving rewards?

P.S. Are the time-locked airdrop tokens released back to the existing staked tokens address, or are they being sent to a different address, that I can check?

Well here is another issue. I tried to join the IOTA Discord 5 times and it failed every time, it seems this should not be as difficult a brain surgery. But I have spent about 4.5+ hours trying to get a response over the last 3 weeks, to fix a wallet issue.

So what shall I do, shall I uninstall the Windows Firefly app and reinstall it? Because I have voted successfully in the current wallet , with all my tokens are available for my vote. But in 6 weeks so far, even with successful Governance voting, I still have not seen or received a single reward. SO please let me know the best way to get this taken care of, as all the paths I have received so far have failed. If they are not going to assist me with this process, then I will need to notify my two advisors, Teeka Tawari of Palm Beach Research Group and Luke Lango with InvestorsPlace that IOTA Community and Firefly are not able to fix wallet issues for their Firefly wallets, so for them not continue recommending, the Iota tokens, nor the Firefly wallets to their many clients.

I have about 14 different wallets and this is the only one I cant get to work, nor get clarification as to what I can do to fix it. I do appreciate your efforts but, I dont have that many hours in my day, as I am managing a business as well.

I dont understand how you should get a reward in the past 6 weeks, and I also dont understand how that is related to governance. Governance generates no rewards at all.

About the supply increase rewards (an airdrop that happened to compensate ASMB staking, last round was more than a year ago), those got airdropped to all stakers on October 4 2023 in full, they follow a vesting schedule of biweekly unlocks over a period of 2 years, but the whole airdrop was given complete in October 4th. There has been no airdrop from the IOTA Foundation since then. If you expect to get other rewards from a different provider, you should contact them directly.

I suggest you check your addresses in the official explorer to review your portfolio (https://explorer.iota.org/), how many outputs you have in each address. Please check all of your addresses, you can access your address history from the "..." menu next to your balance.

If you manage to join discord, I might be able to assist you further over DM, there is no issue in our discord, you just have to join our server and pass the no bot check

I think I understand the problem, you are trying to earn rewards by locking your funds in voting power, and that is not how it works. The governance framework is for you to participate in decisions for the network, not to earn rewards. You can read more about it here https://wiki.iota.org/learn/governance/governance-intro/
