Check #183

@4cryptos @lovepeacerule @Polve

Please follow instructions in the blog post: https://blog.iota.org/new-gui-transition-phase-explained-b536ed80f412

If "pending" at the end after doing the "transition", then login to new seed, go to "history section, click "show bundle" on the incoming transaction, and click "reattach".

Okay, I will try that. I really appreciate this help.

Can I re-enter the same seed key during the transition or is it required to really use a new seed key? (if so, what is the reason for this?)

@MathadonAJL

No, you must use a new seed. Please read the following:

But I entered the same seed when asked to enter a seed and it worked. So what will be the negative effect if I use the same seed?

The whole point of doing "transition" is to transition from an old seed to a new seed. So, it's required to actually use a new seed, so you should do the transition again. If you don't, you put your iotas at possible risk in the future.

MathadonAJL commented 7 years ago

Then why didnt they build in a check from preventing to use the same seed, when performing the transition steps in their IOTA wallet????
