Hello everybody, Im new in crypto trading, and its still not clear for me a lot of the things in cryptocurrencies. So the case is that.. when bitfinex.com stop trading with $$ i decided to transfer all my iotas to iota wallet. Then I download the wallet from the Iota website and install it. It shows me that I have to create a Seed so I created my Seed code. When I transfer the iotas it asked me for this seed every time when I opened the Iota wallet. That was before month ago. Yesterday I decide to check my Iota wallet balance, and it shows me it is zero 000 !! I don`t know how is that possible. I signed with the same seed that I sign in every time, but now shows me it is empty. In the history section it shows me also there are no transactions. Can you guys help me ?

Download the latest version of the wallet here, sign in with the same seed you used before. Then click receive and generate new address, your iota should show up in the balance again. You may have to create a few new addresses before the balance finally shows up.

If this works, please close this issue. Thanks!

Hi, I was having the same issue, however when I download the latest wallet and attempt to attach to tangle, it just checks stuck there for hours still saying "attaching to tangle"

I have the same problem. Balance 0. History 0 To be blunt, this does not speak well for the iot project. How to verify if my value is still safe. Where in wallet to find used address if history is set to 0 ? ? ? And yes.. I'm using the right seed and only have 1 seed ever created so no mistake there

So, I tried and created a couple of new receive addresses and attach to tangle, when completed the balance shows ok, so if having 0 balance problem, try generating a few receive addresses, seems to do the trick. Balance ok now. But seriously.. for a project of this size, the wallet feels very unstable and totally devoid of user-friendliness. is this the best the project can do?

There Should be a Button next to the balance like "Claim my IOTA"

5 out of 10 Issues here on github relate to this problem.

Also - an update message would be helpful.

"Hey User, our Wallet had an Update, so please download the latest Version to access your fundings."

Not sure if this has anything to do with you but IOTA took temporary custody of many funds due to an attack which left these funds at risk due to people using their secret keys. IOTA is in the process of refunding those accounts with a target date of January 16, 2018. Check IOTA's official blog.
