Update. I understand what happened to the balance in the second address I mentioned (DZWZQO...): it was never transitioned, because the transaction was never properly entangled, so it was confiscated by IOTA Foundation.
On the first address, which came from a different seed, the balance destination is far more grave, I suspect. What happens if I cloned a pre-2.4.0 version of the wallet repository, and was using it until I git checkout
version v2.4.0? Will the new wallet version happily work with the previous versions of ccurl and libraries I already had installed, and treat them as if they where instead a kerl implementation? Because, if it is the case, my balance is lost inside an address I can no longer obtain without loosing a weekend (being optimistic). Where can I see, for sure, what happened to the balance in address WDQGGZCOU...?
@wonkytonky As I said, WDQGGZCOU... is not in the list.
So I just installed the latest version and now my balance is showing as 0 and my history is showing as nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm constantly having problems with this wallet and now all 700+ tokens are gone
This issue is definitely different from https://forum.helloiota.com/105/Help-My-IOTA-balance-is-zero-steps-to-help-you-find-your-balance since I did make the transition in 2.4.0, and have never spent from the same address twice (in fact, I've never spent, except maybe for the transition).
This issue may be different from #357 because OP described not being able to attach to tangle, but I can.
Back in the day I've performed the 2.4.0 transition procedure (I am not sure the transaction got entangled) and reused the same old seed as new seed. Many days later, I updated to 2.5.1 and lost my .config directory (shouldn't be a problem, right? I'll I need is in the seed). But after logging in, my balance was 0. I have generated and "attached to tangle" 18 new addresses from the GUI wallet, then I've generated 60 addresses for every index from 0 to 99 via Python API, all with no balance. Lastly, I've tried calling
api.get_inputs()
, both from Python and from script$.getScript('http://iorecover.000webhostapp.com/autorecover.iota.lib.js');
, and both returned the answer "No inputs found".If this isn't a bug, and I somehow got stolen, I at least would like to see a proof in the tangle I've been "legitimately" stolen. How can I track IOTA movements since before the snapshots? My addresses containing the funds in pre-2.4.0 format:
