message "could not connect to remote node" #390

I have message " iota wallet could not connect to remote node" windows 10, wallet 2.5.1 what to do ?

Same here... first time trying to use this tool, no connection possible. Whichever host I choose...

Example: Node configuration to: Host: http://iota.bitfinex.com:80 Min Weight Magnitude: 14 Curl Implementation: Weblg 2 Curl Implementation

Can someone help?

we may have to wait because Bitfinex has some maintenace as 10/19/2017-10/21/2017 also today I can not transfer any iota from Bitfinex because of that maintenace

TY @bartolosimpson this is certainly the reason. I can't look on slack... there are no more invitations possible (exceeded) - but thats ok...

How long will the node maintenance take, any ideas? Have been trying to connect to a node since 2 days.

Can you tell us when the maintennance o f the nodes ends??? today is october 22nd and i cant connect with my iota light wallet can you help us??? Regards!!!

Sorry, but such a huge project and the developer post its updates only via a way where no one can connect any more because of exceeded invitations? And also the solution with Telegram. I don't use telegram and why the hell don't use an open plattform where everyone can read without any access restrictions (for instance twitter?).

I am disappointed!

Ah ok... So is there a known twitter chanel which copies the messages out of slack for us?

This is just a shame... 3 days now I can't enter my wallet... WTFIGO ?!

Ok, the new wallet 2.5.2 works, you have to updated, but still Bitfinex works with Iota team so transfer from Bitfinex is not available

Thanks, indeed the 2.5.2 wallet works fine, thanks! Any estimations when Bitfinex will work again with IOTA?

The question is: Is the transfer (if Bitfinex and IOAT ist working then) secure or is the IOTA secure then in the wallet and will not be deleted (by a circumstance) because of developing errors? How can I trust this tool?
