"Proof transaction is pending" forever #417

Open lattice0 opened 6 years ago

First of all, I tried both telegram and slack channels and couldn't get anybody to help me with this, so I'm opening this issue (its really an issue with the app, I think)

I have never transfered my seed from the old one to the new one when iota first announced this possibility. I am trying to do it now with the reclaim tool in the 2.5.3 wallet. It says "Proof transaction is pending" forever. I tried to reattach 5 times and it still like this. When I search the transaction hash, that's what I get:

https://iotasear.ch/hash/NQFPS9LMTCUGPUGIBZIHAZBEOCGIKG9PYAEHOJ9GDFUFTJCWSCZAIZPVUQEPRCZFWNMIHNVCAETGZ9999

Status | Failed - Invalid

What's happening?

lattice0 commented 6 years ago

update: I created another proof transaction and this one worked.

Could somebody confirm that it'll retrieve my coins? Remember that I didn't do the first seed transfer before

+1 Having the same issue. This doesn't really reinforce my confidence in IOTA.

lattice0 commented 6 years ago

I did the proof's first step, and the second step days ago. My balance is still zero. What is happening? I'm also not going to invest in Iota anymore, you can't find information about what's happening :(

I have the exact same problem. This uncertainty is really a big shame for IOTA. I will not invest more in IOTA this is soooo crap. I am pissed like hell

I am having the same problem with 2.5.4. Should I keep pressing "Reattach" till the Proof Transaction is Pending" changes? Or is the popup: "Reatach completed" enough?

RomanPushka30 commented 6 years ago

I have the same problem. Where to look for a solution?

Helpful instructions of how to reclaim IOTA has really been close to non-existant, the team really dropped the ball on this one.

After some digging i was able to successfully reclaim my IOTA following these instructions. Hope it helps!

the snapshot adresses have been published. delete the last 9 digits as it is the checksum and search with STRG+F in your browser
